Rockwell Collins Chooses FroTools for Paperless Initiative at its Kaiser Electro-Optics Business

San Diego, CA, February 25 - FroTime announces the selection and implementation of its FroTools product by Kaiser Electro-Optics (KEO), a Rockwell Collins company. FroTools will be used as an integral piece in KEO's new paperless initiative. The initiative is to eliminate the high costs and inefficiencies involved with engineering change and the paper trail involved with managing those changes. In addition, implementing FroTools will allow KEO to exploit Engineering Data Utilization, the ability to use and leverage engineering data throughout the organization in electronic format.

By using FroTools, KEO will benefit by the following cost-saving initiatives:

• No physical file cabinet space needed in document control.
• Released drawings and electronic files can all be stored on CD, tape, or DVD and moved off-site to prevent loss.
• Purchasing has direct access to released electronic data to email to vendors. This will save time and money on faxes and mailings.
• Reduce copier time and paper.
• QA and EA have direct access to drawings and 3D data to assist with inspection and assembly.
