  Pro/ENGINEER Assembly Training

Pro E Assembly of Screw and WasherAssembly in Pro/ENGINEER is where you begin to bring all of your parts into one location and understand how they interact with each other.  The assembly understands the location and orientation of your parts in relation to each other.  You utilize constraints such as Mate, Align, and Insert to specify how the components fit together.

Once the assembly has been put together, you can analyze the components to check for interference and clearance.  In addition, parts can be created within Assembly mode as well so you can better visualize the geometry within its space claim.  Assembly Features can also be generated to effect multiple parts within the assembly.

Pro-E Exploded Assembly with Witness LinesAs your Assembly grows in size and number of componenets, the challenge then becomes in how to manage the display and representation of all these parts.

These training tutorials cover Large Assembly Management techniques such as:

  • Simplified Reps and Layers
  • Read Only and Suppresed Features
  • Component Display
  • Exploded Views and Witness Lines

 Available Assembly Tutorial Details
Basic Assembly 1 - (BA1) First in the ProE Assembly series, this tutorial covers creating a basic ProE assembly and placing a component in that assembly.
Basic Assembly 2 - (BA2) This Pro E Assembly tutorial begins to dive into the different types of Pro E Assembly constraints and how to properly align components within an assembly.
Basic Assembly 3 - (BA3) This Tutorial teaches component creation in assembly mode so a designer can better understand the fit, form, and function of a parts within a ProEngineer Assembly.
Basic Assembly 4 - (BA4) This Pro Engineer Assembly Tutorial covers several different types of Assembly Level Patterns and Mirroring Sub-Assemblies.
Basic Assembly 5 - (BA5) This Pro-E Assembly Tutorial investigates what to do when a Pro-E Assembly has a missing component, missing references, or fails regeneration from assembly features.
Advanced Assembly 1 - (AA1) You will learn how to create and use layers, simplified reps, and component display functionality’s in order to optimize how your parts and assemblies are shown in a design environment.
Advanced Assembly 2 - (AA2) This tutorial is the second in the Advanced Assembly series and includes topics like Suppresed Features and Changing Component Display.
Advanced Assembly 3 - (AA3) This Tutorial is a great introduction to creating and modifying different exploded states and geometry features within a Pro Engineer Advanced Assembly
