Pro/ENGINEER can automatically create exploded views of an assembly. Exploding a Pro Engineer Advanced Assembly affects only the display of the assembly; actual distances between components are not altered. When using the Pro/PROCESS for ASSEMBLIES module, exploded views can be created for each step in the assembly fabrication process. This allows the engineer to develop and document the entire assembly process concurrently along with the design.

Pro Engineer Advanced Assembly Features are created to affect multiple parts within an assembly at the same time. Geometry features are features that are created within the assembly. These features may or may not be associated to features of other components within the assembly. This is a great way to potentially save time or to even simulate a manufacturing process.
