This Tutorial teaches component creation in assembly mode so a designer can better understand the fit, form, and function of a parts within a ProEngineer Assembly.

 
ProE Tutorial on Basic Assembly 3

Creating components in ProEngineer Assembly mode allows freedom from external dependencies.

In ProEngineer Assembly mode, components, skeletons (parts or ProEngineer Assemblies created with no geometry), and subassemblies can be created empty (with default datums), or can be created by copying existing start parts or start assemblies (pre-defined parts or ProEngineer Assemblies).

A designer can better understand the fit, form, and function of a ProEngineer Assembly with the ability to create components at the assembly level
