This ProE Cabling Tutorial is a Basic Example of how to Route a Cable in an Assembly using the Pro/CABLE module, Developed for the Beginer in Mind.

This is the first in our series of 6 ProE Cabling Tutorials on Pro/CABLING. This powerful module will allow you to rapidly create and route wires and harnesses through Pro/ENGINEER assemblies. This tutorial is designed with the beginner in mind. By completion of the ProE Cabling subject, you will be confident with just about any type of Cabling project.

There is typically a fairly high learning curve with ProE Cabling. Luckily, this subject guides you through all the initial setup that typically stumps the new user. We introduce terms such as Harnesses, Spools, Sheath Spools, Connectors, Designation, and Entry Ports. The ProE Cabling tutorial begins by creating a Harness and a Spool. From there, individual wires can be created and routed through the assembly. Pretty simple and straightforward, but a great way to begin learning ProE Cabling.
