Intro To Pro/NC
Building upon the first Pro Engineer Training in this series, this Pro Engineer Training tutorial takes an in depth look at controlling the display of components. In addition, you will learn how to create process step parameters. Components in a process assembly plan can be displayed on your screen in a number of different ways based on their current status. When a component in your process plan is at a specific status you can decide how it will be displayed on your screen via line style type. This method will help you differentiate components in your process plan by telling you what state they are at based on the line style that they are displaying. Once a component is assembled in a process plan it can be repositioned to another location as part of a new step using the Reposition functionality. You are able to create parameters for process plans in the same way you can create parameters in part and assembly mode of a normal Pro/E session. Parameters can be created for individual steps or for the entire process plan. If you create a parameter for an individual step it will exist for that step only. These parameters that you create can be called out in drawing and used in repeat region tables to keep track of important manufacturing information.
