Cross Section Views

This tutorial covers all of the necessary requirements for creating Full, Half, and Local Cross Sections on a Pro Engineer Drawing.

ProE Tutorial on Cross Section Views

This tutorial on Pro Engineer Drawings covers the many different types of cross-sectional views including; Full Cross-section, Half Cross-section, and Local Cross-section. These types of detailed views are critical to communicating geometry to manufacturing on a Pro Engineer Drawing.

A Cross Section View is where the view is altered as if it was cut in half or cut down a certain line. This type of view is used to show detail that can not be visible in a non sectional front, top or side view. The view can be used to show the inner wall thickness of a component, hole or cut detail, rib height, or any other important information that can be used in aiding the manufacturing process through a Pro Engineer Drawing.
