ProE Tutorial on Drawing Tables and Repeat Regions

The ability to create Tables within a ProE Drawing can be critical to the accuracy of that drawing. Pro/ENGINEER has several techniques that can be used to create tables manually or automatically. This tutorial on ProE Drawing covers both methods of table creation.

A Table can be used for different purposes in a ProE Drawing. They can show a Bill of Materials, indicate different sizes of the same component and specify drawing revisions. Once a table is created it can be saved to your hard drive and used again in the future. The table size and features can be manipulated as well as text and parameters added to the cells.

A Repeat Region is feature that can be added to a table. This feature is defined by an area of the table that automatically changes in size to accommodate any changes that have been made to the current model. If a part is added to the current ProE Drawing assembly, the table will automatically add a row to the table in order to incorporate for the new component. The same process is executed when a component is removed from the current drawing assembly. The Repeat Region is controlled by report parameters to define the information that is being shown.
