This update tutorial covers new functionality in Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0. This new functionality will make designing smoother and much more productive. It is a big step for users of all levels and will require new ways of thinking about building Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 objects. At first this might seem frustrating and cumbersome but after some time and a bit of patience the light at the end of the tunnel will become bright.

All users will notice right away when starting up Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 the new user interface, a web browser and a folder navigation window have been embedded into the main window and operate the same way that they do on your desktop.

The way features are created in Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 is definitely one of the major changes associated with the new release and has generated a great deal of discussion. Most of the features that you are used to creating in Pro Engineer now have their own short cut icons on the main graphics window. The drawing module for Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 is also noticeably different. The Drawing View and the Show / Erase have added great improvements to the drawing mode to keep the work flow going smoothly. To make detail drawings easier and faster to create, the 3-D drawing is the newest tool to Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0.

One of the more exciting additions to Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 is that it allows you to conference in with other users on your local area network (LAN) or on the internet. Conference participants can share a Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 session as well as Pro Engineer WildFire 2.0 files. This new functionality is called Design Conferencing. Once you login to the PTC Conference Center you are ready to begin.
