  Pro/ENGINEER Solid Modeling Training

Extrude, Hole, Chamfer, and Round FeaturesSolid Modeling is the creation and design of 3D Models in Pro/ENGINEER.  This is the best place to begin your training if you are new to Pro/ENGINEER as the tutorials introduce you to the basics and foundation that will be used to build upon your education.  Here you will be introduced to initial concepts such as the User Interface, Parent-Child relationships, and standard Solid Modeling features.  Features are used to begin to add detail to your model which include:

  • Extrude
  • Revolve
  • Round, Chamfer, and Holes

Patterns and Groups in Pro EOnce you learn the basic feature set, you will move on to more advanced features such as Patterns and Groups.  Patterns allow you to save time by duplicating a previously created feature.  To enhance your ability to rapidly create sections and profiles, the Solid Modeling series also includes one tutorial specifically devoted to Intent Manager.  Intent Manager is the sketching environment in Pro/ENGINEER that allows you to designate design intent.  Begin to challenge yourself with more advanced topics like Draft features, Helical Sweeps, and the Master Modeling Technique.
