Intro To Pro/NC
This 33 page ProEngineer Round tutorial builds upon the first Expert Modeling series on ProEngineer Rounds. If you need help with all the Advanced ProEngineer Round functionality within ProEngineer, this is the training guide for you. A Full Round is a feature typically used on rib like geometry. The width of the surface that is being replaced determines the radius of the ProEngineer Round. When the round is created, it is tangent to all three references. The Corner Sphere Transition is a fragment of a sphere that connects three ProEngineer Round features or a combination of ProEngineer Round features and existing geometry that join at a corner. The fragment touches all three references that have circular cross sections and the same convexity. A Corner Sphere Transition is the connection of three references with an additional ProEngineer Round feature. This additional round feature attaches itself smoothly to two of the references while using the reference with the largest radius becomes the boundary that ProEngineer uses to determine the shape of the corner. Corner Patch Transitions connect three or four ProEngineer Round features or a combination of ProEngineer Round features and existing geometry. The features that are being connected do not have to be circular. A boundary blend surface is created to connect all of the references into a smooth and tangent ProEngineer Round piece. Finally, Blend Transitions are an additional ProEngineer Round piece that is used to connect two ProEngineer Round pieces. This transition is not created automatically like the intersect or autoblend transitions.
