Solid Modeling: Building Your First Part

Building Your First Part

This Pro E Tutorial Demonstrates the Creation of a Simple part file containing several different Feature Types.

ProE Tutorial on Building Your First Part

This Pro E Tutorial is the second in the Basic Pro E Tutorial series. Follow up to "Getting Your Bearings", the user will build their first Pro E part using extrusions, cuts, rounds, chamfers, and more. You do not need any prior experience to begin modeling in Pro E using this Pro E Tutorial.

The Pro E Tutorial begins by creating a simple 2D sketch using Intent Manger. The sketch is then extruded into a 3D solid model. The user learns how to properly specify references so Pro E understands how to construct the features.

Next, a revolved protrusion is created to demonstrate another way to create a solid feature. In addition, we make use of the hole functionality. Rounds and Chamfers are then added to complete the overall geometry.

A slot is created which teaches the user about Pro E's Cut feature. Finally, the cut is mirrored to automate the design process. Congratulations, you have just created your first part using our Pro E Tutorial...
