This Pro-E Advanced Tutorial covers Helical sweeps in Pro/Engineer - a feature that creates coiled parts such as the popular spring. A profile created could be either linear or non-linear (to give the helical sweep a characteristic shape) that reflects on the outside edge of the part. The understanding of the pitch determines the compressibility of the design of the spring at which the pitch could be constant or vary in pitch throughout the profile.
