Intro To Pro/NC
ProEngineer offers several features that permit the deformation or alteration of a part surface. This ProEngineer CREO Advanced Tutorial begins our two part series on these interesting, yet effective ProEngineer features. A local push deforms a part surface by pushing or pulling on a rectangular or circular region sketched on a selected part surface. Height can then be modified after feature creation. Radius domes deform surfaces by creating a spherical domed surface emanating from the selected surface boundaries. These features consist of two parameters – the dome radius and a dimension that locates the edge of the dome. A section dome replaces planar surfaces with sculptured or contoured surfaces. These features in this ProEngineer CREO Advanced Tutorial should be used when the resultant surface is non-spherical and greater control of the surface profile is required. Use this feature to replace the surface of a solid feature.
